Iām really glad I worked so hard creating a lovely Mother-Daughter journal so I could be insulted by my 12-year-old. š (Confession: I really DO struggle with 7th grade math)
But, all jokes aside, as some of you may know, I had my first book published this year, a mother-daughter journal. My daughter and I have been passing it back and forth, filling it out together, and I’m definitely finding out things about her that I otherwise wouldn’t have known.
For instance, I wasn’t surprised that if she could get a job she would want to be a horse trainer or dog walker, since she loves animals. However, “airport worker” was a bit out of left field! Which prompted an interesting conversation.
The words that come to mind when I think about my daughter:
And this is what she wrote about me. I love that she thinks Iām brave, because most of the time, I donāt feel very brave. Or patient (especially with math homework)! And I laughed pretty hard at āAlways has the same shirt with 2 stripesā. Itās funny because itās trueā¦I really do love me some 2 stripe shirts! Just one of my many quirks LOL.
I wish I could deny this next one, but alas, the child speaks the truthā¦
Seriously?? She thinks all I do is laundry? Actually, thatās pretty much true, boo hoo hoo. Which is why all my best hiding spots for candy, Christmas gifts, etc. are in the laundry room…I’m always in there and other people tend to avoid that room as much as possible!
And hereās me with my 2 stripe shirt! Accurate, except for the fact that I do actually have hands in real life LOL!
