The first year I planted my garden, this is what happened:
Not to brag, but my new garden that I spent two months creating has produced a harvest bountiful enough to feed…..my daughter’s hamster.
Ok, I know, I know, that minuscule onion was NOT ready to be pulled…it’s just that I’ve never grown anything before and I keep getting SO curious as to what’s going on under there and I can’t help myself.
Seriously though, with ALL the work I’ve put in, I was expecting to be skipping through my neighborhood with an overflowing basket of giant zucchini, sharing the wealth of my abundant crops. You know, like Caroline Ingalls – but in suburbia.
I was NOT expecting to be standing in my kitchen painstakingly splitting blueberries in HALF so that everybody could have one.
