A few years ago I wrote something that said, “When your kids are little, all you want is for them to play alone in their room for an hour so you can have some peace and quiet. Then they become teenagers, and all you want is for them to come out of their room for an hour and actually talk to you.”
Though my kids are now teens and young adults, I remember those days of when they would not stop talking long enough for me to have a coherent thought.
And some kids never outgrow their chattiness…they turn into adults who usually end up sitting next to introvert me on a plane LOL.
