It’s been said that a grandparent is “a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, and a little bit best friend” and if you’re lucky, I think that’s true.
For the first few years of my life, I literally lived in the middle of BOTH sets of grandparents…my mom’s parents lived in the house next to us on the right and my dad’s parents lived in the house next to us on the left. I don’t know how much luckier a kid can get than that!
My mom told me she would take me outside in the stroller and my grandma would come out and say, “Why do you have a jacket on her? It’s too hot.” And she would take off my jacket and five minutes later my OTHER grandma would come out and say, “That baby needs a jacket. It’s too cold.”
My poor mom LOL!

I took my grandma to pick up some makeup and she was buying an eyebrow pencil. The very nice sales lady asked her if she wanted a magnifying mirror for application. My grandma looked at her like she was dumb and said “my eyebrows haven’t moved in 85 yrs. I know where they are”
